A Stellar Coaching Journey
Carbery’s coaching career has been marked by rapid ascension and notable achievements. Prior to joining the Capitals, he served as the head coach of the Hershey Bears, the Capitals’ AHL affiliate, from 2018 to 2021, posting a record of 104-50-9-8. His tenure in Hershey was highlighted by a 24-7-2-0 record in the 2020-21 season .
Following his success in Hershey, Carbery joined the Toronto Maple Leafs as an assistant coach, where he notably improved the team’s power play and offensive performance. His efforts were instrumental in the Leafs’ ranking first in power play efficiency in 2021-22 and second in 2022-23 .
