M20 to close overnight between Maidstone and Ashford as Op Brock contraflow removed
Barriers installed on the M20 last week to help the flow of heavy traffic during the school holidays will be removed tonight.
The motorway will be closed between Maidstone and Ashford tonight from 8pm to 6am for the work to take place.

National Highways explains that the system has been used for the May Bank Holiday weekend, due to expected high passenger numbers at the Kent ports.
Operation Brock, covering 13 miles between Junctions 8 Maidstone and Junction 9 Ashford, is to keep traffic flow in case of disruption to services across the English Channel.
To safely remove the contraflow, the motorway will be closed London-bound from Junction 9 to 8 and coastbound from Junction 7 to 9.
