In the late ’90s, Michael Jordan and Tiger Woods were two of the most famous men in the world. Jordan was the best player in the NBA, while Woods was positioning himself as a golf superstar. Jordan and Woods have built a friendship because they were the world athletes and icons. Jordan really played golf several times with wood. However, Woods never played basketball with Jordan because he was apparently terrified.
After winning his fifth NBA title in 1997 against the Utah Jazz, SLAM magazine asked Jordan if he had ever played basketball with Woods. Jordan acknowledged that Woods had talent, but MJ admitted that he was too scared of Woods to let him on the field in a real game: “He’s scared. “I’m going to beat the hell out of him. I play a contact sport,” Jordan said. “He can’t attack me on a golf course. Basketball, I put it. But I saw his talent, that’s for sure. He is a good child. He does not threaten me in the golf field. ”
Jordan and Woods were not only the best players in sports at the end of the 1990s, but were always in spotlights and faced absurd expectations. Although Jordan can relate to the forest, MJ told Slam that he was a little sorry that the forest.

Unfortunately for Woods, he hasn’t handled the spotlight as gracefully as Jordan. Woods is arguably one of the greatest golfers of all time, if not the greatest, and he was hit by an infidelity scandal in 2009 and an arrest for drunk driving in 2017. Jordan is widely considered to be the greatest basketball player of all time. He won five MVPs, ten scoring titles, six championships and six Finals MVPs with the Chicago Bulls. MJ also won the Defensive Player of the Year award.
Jordan averaged 30.1 points, 6.2 rebounds, 5.3 assists, 2.3 steals and 0.8 blocks in his career with the Bulls and Washington Wizards. He ranks first in points per game in NBA history, fourth in steals, fifth in field goals made and second in player efficiency.
