In a statement, the PGA Tour said: “The integrity of the game is paramount, and all players are expected to adhere to the highest standards of sportsmanship. After a comprehensive investigation into Viktor Hovland’s actions at the Valspar Championship, it has been determined that his conduct was in direct violation of the Rules of Golf and the principles of fair play. Consequently, Mr. Hovland has been suspended from all PGA Tour-sanctioned events for an indefinite period, including the upcoming Masters Tournament.”
